I have enjoyed photography since I was a very young man, capturing cool images of racing cars at the local drag strip. Even now, I can smell the smoking tires! Now, as the father of two grown daughters and nine grandchildren, my passion for photography has naturally become focused on our family. I wouldn't trade our treasured photos for all the tea in China! I can't imagine not having them to enjoy time and time again.
Great photography requires both passion and skill. Many photographers have the passion but not the skill. There is no substitute for experience, whether it's for a simple promotional head shot for business or a generational family portrait. I have a passion for photography, and I have successfully photographed hundreds of clients, including weddings, brides, maternity, infants, and families - even an occasional architectural project.
I also enjoy photographing wildlife and the natural environment. My first love, though, has always been the family, especially children. This is why I am now focusing exclusively on portrait photography. I enjoy that personal connection with people, and I want to give you beautiful memories to treasure for a lifetime.
You choose the location, and I’ll come to you! I specialize in a variety of portrait types: classic (typically one person), families, and children, both formal and informal. Do you have a dance recital or family reunion coming up? Are you an animal lover?
A portrait is not restricted to a human subject. Have you ever wanted a portrait of your beloved pet, or casual photos of you and your pet playing at the park? I'm a dog lover myself (interpret that as having two extremely spoiled “fur babies”), and I understand the connection you have with your furry (or feathered) companion.
My wife Deb and I have been married for nearly 45 years and are actively involved in the children's ministry at our church, an extension of our love for children.
